1 9x13-inch lasagna

Ingredients
12 whole-wheat noodles for lasagna

1 pound of lean beef

2 chopped garlic cloves

1 tsp. dried oregano, or more to taste

1/2 tsp. of garlic powder

To taste, add black pepper and salt.

1 package (16 ounces) of cottage cheese

Shredded Parmesan cheese, one-half cup

2 eggs

4 1/2 cups tomato-basil sauce for pasta

Shredded mozzarella cheese in two cups

Directions
Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C).

Large saucepan of lightly salted water should be brought to a boil. Lasagne noodles should be added and cooked for 10 minutes, or until al dente.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet over medium heat, combine the ground beef, garlic, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook and stir for about 10 minutes, or until the beef is crumbly and uniformly browned.

Eggs, cottage cheese, and Parmesan cheese should all be properly blended in a big basin.

In the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish, arrange 4 noodles side by side. On top, layer tomato-basil sauce, ground beef mixture, and cottage cheese mixture. Repeat the layers two more times, ending with a sauce layer; top with mozzarella cheese. Use aluminum foil to cover the dish.

For about 30 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the lasagna is bubbling, bake in the preheated oven. When the cheese has started to brown, remove the cover and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Before serving, let stand for at least 10 minutes.
